Dr. William W. Boyer is the Charles P. Messick Professor
Emeritus and former Chairperson of the Department of
Political Science and International Relations at the
University of Delaware.
Among his many publications on public affairs is his most
recent book, GOVERNING DELAWARE: POLICY PROBLEMS
IN THE FIRST STATE, published in 2000 by the University
of Delaware Press. He is currently in the process of
co-authoring another book on Delaware, to be entitled
POLITICS AND GOVERNMENT OF DELAWARE for
publication by the University of Nebraska Press. Dr.
Boyer is currently Visiting Scholar at the University of
Delaware's Center for Applied Demography and Survey
Research. His Ph.D. is from the University of Wisconsin
